Teachers planning to start teaching English at IGCSE Level. School Heads or Heads of English Department wishing to consider adopting IGCSE First Language English or English as a Second Language in their schools.
NB: This is an introductory course, specially organised for teachers who have very little
or no experience preparing these exams.
Basic concepts will be discussed. Teachers who have some experience preparing these exams
are advised not to attend this course as there will be future sessions in which more
specific details of the exams will be developed. The Syllabus changes for the different
exams will be addressed in depth during the above mentioned meetings.
• To acquaint prospective teachers of English Language at IGCSE Level with the
Examinations Aims and Content.
