Literature teachers and readers who are interested in teaching short fairy tales to young readers and who would like to discuss gender issues in the classroom.
1) Discuss similarities and differences between feminist and fractured fairy tales.
2) Read and discuss two feminist and two fractured fairy tales and recognize their main characteristics.

The facilitator will present the topics and will ask students to read four very short tales in class. Participants will be required to identify the characteristics of both feminist and fractured fairy tales, and discuss the themes and the topics presented in the content area.
