of the papers.

Session 1: Focus on Section 1: Narrative / Descriptive and Imaginative Writing

Narrative Writing. Writing in "genre". Detective Fiction. Romance. Horror. Biography.
- Dramatic Monologues – Script Writing - Descriptive Writing – Creating mood and atmosphere – Contrast - Creative Writing – "Open" Titles - Assessment - Markschemes - Prep.work.

Session 2: Focus on Section 2: Discursive and Argumentative Writing.
- Discursive and Argumentative Essays for AS English - Speech Writing - Letter Writing - Persuasive Writing – Articles and reviews - Assessment - Markschemes - Prep work - Articulation with IGCSE and other AS options.
