Teachers who are willing to analyse further what teaching Literature at IGCSE involves and to share ideas and expertise as to how best prepare students to succeed in the exam.
Session 1:
- To help prospective teachers of IGCSE English Literature understand what points are to be considered concerning the teaching of Literature at IGCSE level by examining questions closely and discussing Examiners' Reports.
- To acquaint prospective teachers with the IGCSE approach to the teaching and assessment of Literature by examining past papers and discussing relevant points with course co-ordinator and participants who have experience teaching IGCSE Literature.
- To share experience, expert knowledge and points of concern as regards the preparation of this exam.
Session 2:
- To explore and discuss what is involved in the teaching of Literature at pre IGCSE level.
- To discuss effective teaching practices suitable for younger learners.
- To share experiences in developing enthusiasm for reading and Literature in younger learners.
- To help prospective teachers of IGCSE English Literature understand what points are to be considered concerning the teaching of Literature at IGCSE level by examining questions closely and discussing Examiners' Reports.
