- Share what we currently do in our classrooms.
- Evaluate the importance of assessment.
- Share practical ways of meeting needs of gifted and talented students.
- Discuss the impact of differentiation on school policy.
Session 1: Defining Differentiation
- input, process and output

Session 2: Differentiation by Activities
- what is accelerated learning
- diverse activities in the classroom to meet needs
- investigating lesson plans and planificaciones
- developing a "lesson plan" to meet needs
Session 3: Differentiation and Assessment

- the importance of assessment and feedback
- questioning techniques to aid learning
Session 4: (a) Gifted and Talented Students (b) Developing School Policy
- defining gifted and talented
- meeting their special needs
- impact of differentiation on school policy
- Interactive lectures.

- Viewing students and teachers in action (film).
- Sharing current practice.
- Background reading.

Participants will be expected to share current practices and documents.
