This course is for the teacher who has been using Jolly Phonics successfully for a while or has attended the Jolly Phonics 1. Ideal for Year 1, 2 and 3 teachers.
The Developing Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar course will take teachers through the principles of Jolly Grammar and how to follow on from Jolly Phonics. You will be taken through sample lessons and demonstrations of real classroom scenarios. It is a step by step course on how to apply the programme and make the best of it.
Learn about the grammar programme and how it follows on from Jolly Phonics. You will be shown how you can continue to develop children's phonic knowledge enabling them to improve their vocabulary and comprehension into Year 2. This course introduces key elements of grammar, punctuation, spelling rules, (short vowels) as well as revision and extension of phonics.
You will be taken through lesson guides, structure and pace of teaching. Ideas and strategies for teaching both grammar and spelling in a fun and enjoyable way are explored.
Please note: In this course there will not be any introduction to Jolly Phonics.
