Primary Teachers.
- To work on stories following Reading in Action principles.
- To guide teachers into how to select appropriate reading material.
- To provide teachers with ideas of activities to be carried out before, while and after reading or storytelling.
- To provide teachers with practice of reading sessions in the first cycle.
- To encourage teachers to design and share activities for reading sessions.
-A theoretical and practical framework on how to use stories in the class following the ideas and principles presented in Reading in Action.
-Traditional short stories and short stories by contemporary children’s writers.
-Home-made books: how to make them and use them in class.
In this course we will work with short stories and analyse the kind of activities each of them allows for pre-reading, while reading and after reading. Teachers will also have to prepare and work with stories in the course. Teachers will be encouraged to share with others the material designed
