To encourage teachers to consider the benefits of teaching Shakespeare’s stories in the upper forms of the primary school.
- The benefits of teaching Shakespeare’s stories in the primary school.
- When and how to begin.
- Introduction to Shakespeare’s world.
- The Globe Theatre.
Suggested activities for each of the following stories:
- The Taming of the Shrew.
- The Winter’s Tale.
- Othello.
- Romeo and Juliet.
- King Lear.
- Love, friendship, values.
- Daily warm-ups.
- Listening activity.
- Conclusions.
Methodology:
Workshop The coordinator will suggest activities to introduce Shakespeare’s stories to young learners. The participants are expected to discuss the ideas presented by the coordinator and to contribute their own.
