Teachers who have some experience of teaching a subject in English or teachers who have some limited experience of teaching English as a FL.
Workshop participants will be able to:
- Read about, listen to, reflect on and discuss issues related to reference materials used by the teachers to make lessons interesting and effective.
- Become aware of how to manage resources: equipment and teaching aids.
- Language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
- Vocabulary: specific terminology used to describe and classify equipment and teaching aids and to talk about reference materials.
Methodology:
Each module is topic-based and self-contained. It includes a number of tasks which provide:
- Coverage of the four language skills,
- Ways of developing teaching-related language,
- Awareness and evaluation of teaching aids and resources.
