Marcela Rodriguez

Marcela Rodriguez is a graduate Biology and Geography teacher, Specialist in Science Education (Universidad de San Andrés) and holds a degree in Environmental Management (UNICEN). She has taught IGCSE Environmental Management and Geography for 15 years and IGCSE and AS Biology since 1996 at various schools in the the northern area of Great Buenos Aires. She is a Cambridge Assessment Specialist, IBO senior examiner and reviser of Science textbooks
For EM teachers with little or no experience willing to discuss common issues, share strategies to overcome them and explore ways of improving students’ skills and performance that have not attended this workshop last year
- Identify common issues in the EM classroom
- Discuss strategies to deal with common issues and help students to acquire/ develop the necessary skills in order to improve their performance.
- Common issues in our EM class and worldwide
- Dealing with tough parts (action verbs, vague answers, giving arguments, mathematical skills)
- Improving data presentation and analysis (graphs, tables, data interpretation)
- Approaching unfamiliar contexts: case studies.
