There are many reasons why studying and writing poetry will benefit students and challenge them no matter how difficult the poem is.
At the beginning our students might be afraid to be adventurous when expressing themselves and yet, as they interact, they will come to understand the meaning of a poem and start owning the text.
Choosing poems that work is not easy, but once you have found one you will be gratified by the students’ enjoyment and discovery of poetry.

During this workshop, teachers will go through a wide range of activities, techniques and strategies that can be done online and/or in class.
These activities will foster student involvement and allow them not only to take action but become part of the action.
