Biochemist, graduated from the Facultad de Farmacia y Bioquímica de la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Since 1987 has been working on the different levels of the education system, (primary, secondary, tertiary and university), on private and public institutions. Started preparing high school students on IGCSE Chemistry, Biology & Environmental Management in 1999. Currently working at Focus Educacion Sudamericana.
Teachers planning to start teaching IGCSE Chemistry. School Heads or Heads of English Departments wishing to consider adopting IGCSE Chemistry in their schools.
- Basic concepts will be discussed.
Teachers who have some experience preparing these exams are advised not to attend this course as there will be future sessions in which more specific details of the exams will be developed.
- The Syllabus changes for the different exams will be addressed in depth during the above mentioned meetings.
- To acquaint prospective teachers of Chemistryat IGCSE Level with the Examinations Aims and Content.
- To provide the necessary information and share experience concerning the preparation of these exams.
- General information about IGCSE Chemistry.
- Description of the exam and its components.
- Description of the subject contents, discussion of the important items found in the syllabus.
- Recommendation of useful bibliography and supporting materials.
- This is an introductory course, specially organised for teachers who have very little or no experience preparing these exams.
- Powerpoint supported presentation.
- Questions and answers / Open forum.
- Would be of great help if teachers attending the session bring their own syllabus and list of materials used in order to discuss them and clear out doubts.
