Who are the workshops for?
This workshop is for subject teachers working with students at secondary or senior level who want to develop their practice in this area. It is also suitable for Heads of Department or senior leaders who want to further their understanding in this area.
This workshop is not designed to be specialist training for Special Needs Coordinators.
During this workshop we will explore the following topics:
- What barriers to learning do learners face?
- How can we help learners overcome these barriers in order to raise achievement?
- What practical approaches can a classroom teacher use to support these learners?
- What approaches are effective at a whole-school level?
- We ask participants to complete reading and reflection activities before attending the workshop. Details of these tasks will be sent through once your booking has been confirmed.
All Cambridge Enrichment workshops
focus on giving delegates practical ideas, based on academic research, to be used in their school
give delegates plenty of time to ask questions and share ideas
are designed to meet delegate needs and experiences
give delegates, where appropriate, accompanying electronic resources to be used before and/or after the event
