- To analyze Modernism vs. Traditional Realism.
- To provide examples of other Modernists.
- To suggest activities suitable for A/AS students.
- Chronological time vs. psychic time (Henri Bergson).
- Analysis of different extracts to follow association of ideas and stream of consciousness to detect similarities /differences in at least two characters.
- Fragmentation and juxtaposition (parallel with Cubism).
