School heads, vice heads or technology directors
The objectives of this course will be to familiarize school heads and directors with the following topics:
- Webtools for school heads – resources to make your job more efficient and effective.
- What to look for when observing teachers using technology, specifically, how to use interactive whiteboards effectively.
- How to use technology to manage more effective communication between teachers, parents and students, reducing the amount of time you spend managing those same relationships.
- “E-safety” – tracking websites, custom-made browsers, etc., to insure the safety of the students and teachers.
- Information on how other countries manage their technology and inform their community.
- Specific webtools and internet resources for school heads.
- Observation tools and techniques.
- Technology integration tips.
- Information and resources on best uses of technology.
- This course will be co-taught by two professional development trainers with a great deal of international experience. One is Argentinean and one is North American. Knowing how busy school heads are, the course is only 1 session of three hours, instead of the traditional 2 sessions. Therefore it will not be a workshop, but more of an informative presentation with links and additional resources provided.
A bibliography will be furnished upon request.
