This training course provides background advice for teachers, heads and coordinators. It explains the principles behind Synthetic Phonics so that your understanding of the teaching, and your ability to help a child on how to learn to read and write, is much greater.
This introductory course will explain to you the principles of synthetic phonic and the English Alphabetic code.
• It takes you step-by-step through a phonics lesson and the key skills of the programme:
learning the letter sounds, letter formation handwriting, blending, identifying the sounds in words and tricky words.
