Early Years practitioners who want to develop their practice and would like an introduction to assessment for learning strategies. Although it’s most relevant to practitioners working in Cambridge Early Years centres, this is not a pre-requisite
This course is designed to introduce the key principles and practices in Assessment for Learning in Early Years. Under the guidance of a Cambridge-accredited trainer, you will:

• explore what is Assessment for Learning
• find out how to discover more about young children’s learning through effective questioning and observation techniques
• discuss practical strategies on how to record your discoveries and use these to plan playful learning experiences which support learner progress across all areas of their development
• explore why Assessment for Learning is such an important part of a play-based approach to teaching and learning in Early Years
• review what practical Assessment for Learning strategies can practitioners apply in their own Early Years settings

You will also have lots of opportunities to share ideas with other Cambridge Early Years practitioners.
