Jennifer Verschoor

Jennifer Verschoor graduated from St. Andrew's Scots School. She holds a degree in Literary, Technical and Legal Translation as well as a Bachelor's degree in Educational Management, English Teaching and ICT in the Classroom validated by Trinity College London. She holds an MA in Virtual Environments and a Specialization in Education and ICT offered by the Ministry of Education in Argentina. She is the co-author of My First Digital Journey, an ebook published by The Round in December 2012. Currently she is working for the British Council in Argentina and Chile, ESSARP, Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, Cambridge English and SimpleK12 giving teacher training courses on the integration of ICT. She has been hired by SBS International to co-moderate TIC en el AULA, nominated for an ELTon Award in 2013 under the category Local Innovation.

Teaching with Technology is a competency-based professional development which is aligned with the Technology Literacy learning objectives of the 2011 release of the UNESCO ICT-Competency Framework for Teachers (UNESCO ICT-CFT), and it aims to is to support teachers understand how they can use technology to enhance 21st Century Education.
It offers:
An online self-assessment, an ELearning curriculum and a summative assessments to assess understanding of the concepts covered. The course comprises six modules that range from ICT policy awareness, Use of ICT for teaching and learning to Teacher Professional Development.
1 | Introduction to Teaching with Technology
This module highlights the various topic discussed in this course.
2 | Why does UNESCO ICT-CFT Promote Technology Literacy?
This module deals with how technology is changing our world and how education should respond.
3 | Selecting ICT Resources to Support Curriculum Outcome
This module deals with different approaches to teaching and creating a better learning experience for your students.
4 | How do technology and pedagogy mix?
This module introduces the various methods of didactic teaching.
5 | Use basic ICT tools to support teaching and learning
This module highlights hardware and software support and how to use them to improve learning process.
6 | Organise and Manage the Use of ICT in Your Classroom
This module discusses how Adapting Computer Lab activities for different environments could increase the opportunity for learning.
7 | Technology literacy and your professional development
This module deals with ICT and how it enables one to work smarter, get routine tasks done efficiently among other practical education uses.
We are going to work in the computer lab.
