María Laura Ortner

Dr. Maria Laura Ortner obtained a degree in psychology at the Universidad Católica Argentina and a doctorate in Child and Youth Studies from Nova South Eastern University in the USA.  She also trained in Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), hypnosis and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT). She has worked for 27 years as a school psychologist in Danbury, Connecticut. She has written, produced and directed two educational videos aimed at helping Latino students and their families with  the process of acculturation, and has spoken in the USA and abroad on a variety of educational and psychological subjects. She has also written “Big Changes in the Little House! How to talk to your child when  facing tough financial times”.

Tapping or EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a user -friendly resource which can be used for a variety of situations in school settings. In this presentation participants will explore the use of this tool which can be implemented by teachers, parents and students with ease and in minutes. Current applications at Primary & Secondary school levels will be discussed.
