Any teacher interested in the use of cinematic texts in the classroom
The main objectives of the Film Club are to encourage teachers to:
1-Understand how films function as a sygnifying practice.
2-View film texts critically.
3-Develop a cirtical, transcultural gaze.
4-Design interdisciplinary and intermedial school projects.

These are the films which will be analysed together with the literary works:
- May: "Julius Caesar"
- June: "The Time Machine"
- July: "British miniseries for teens"
- August: History and television through the miniseries The Vikings
- September: "Stephen King on television In Under the Dome"
- October: "Woody Allen Recreates Tennessee Williams in Blue Jasmine"
- November: Mildred Pierce

In all the sessions there will be a theoretical introduction to the film which will be analysed. Then, several scenes from the cinematic texts wil lbe screened and analysed in the light of the concepts presented before.
