The workshop is for good teachers who genuinely want to share their work with others and develop the skills as teacher trainers.
We will work at a reflective level but also try out a number of practical activities particularly related to:
- Creating the conditions for shared construction of individual knowledge.
- Ways of sharing information with peers.
- Interaction patterns for reacting to information.
- Formats for planning sessions.
This introduction to a Train the Trainers course explores the first changes in attitude necessary for successful teachers of any subject at any level to develop the skills necessary to become a teacher trainer. We will examine the need to take off the teaching hat and put on the training hat and how that change in role has a complex set of beliefs and attitudes attached to it.
