- To help teachers develop professional skills that may be of use throughout their careers. - To explore options and possibilities in terms of the different roles teachers have.
Teachers do a lot more than teach and they often need to resort to skills that were not included as part of their training. This course aims at providing teachers with an opportunity to develop some of these skills. It will include sessions on how to prepare a CV and covering letter, how to conduct an interview and how to run and take part in meetings. Role-play, use of technology. Methodology: the professional Skills strand is self-contained and consists of three sessions distributed once a month. "Attendance certificates will be issued for the whole strand or for the separate sessions."
