· To become aware of the aims and content of the subject as well as its requirements and challenges
· To introduce teachers to the exam components and papers
· To analyse how specific skills are assessed in the different exam components
· To discuss the role and importance of assessment and feedback in the preparation of students sitting for IGCSE Mathematics
· To share experience concerning the preparation of this exam
· To build a mutual support network of IGCSE Mathematics teachers through ESSARP.
