Teaching Early Literacy to the Digital Natives
Teachers with only basic computer skills who want to learn how to use a variety of free applications for the devlopment of emergent and early literacy. The focus will be on using technology to enhance daily classroom activities aimed at developing the necessary pre-reading and pre-writing skills that pave the way to actual Reading and Writing.

- To understand what early literacy is and what it comprises.
- To understand what digital natives are, how they learn and the implications this has on the teacher's role and planning.
- To consider ICT within the early literacy programme, and how to integrate ICT with regular clases.
- To develop an understanding of Web 2.0 tools and create blended learning classes.
- To consider how to integrate ICT and assessment (including online assessment).
